The twisty D-Pads still aren't all that flash, but at least it's an improvement

I've got an adapter for it too, though only with the original Classic Controller. I might look into a Pro version but they sell for around the same price as a Gamecube controller on Amazon.

I am looking at buying a controller for emulating NES and SNES games. Apart from having enough buttons, decent quality overall etc, what I'm really looking for is something with a good, reliable and comfy D-Pad. Something that is a rare sight these days.

What does /vr/ use and recommend?

Pic related is what I'm stuck with. The twisty D-Pad is better than the original disc, but unsurprisingly it's still mediocre.

I'm looking into getting something a bit less boring sometime. Something with a good D-Pad would be nice.
