My gamegear wouldn't turn on, learn that its caused by bad capacitors but ordering tantulams would take time and I want to play sonic now so I grab a bunch of cap of approximately the same value or higher and since they won't fit I need to add wires so I can move them in the case, after a couple of caps are replaced it turns on after warming up so I replace the rest.

I've been modding since I learned how to do a 50 / 60 hz mod on my master system, I broke a couple of consoles along the way so it would have been probably better if I left them alone.

Heres me ps1 modded to work with ps-io. I wanted to play with the gun using rgb so I added composite. It works.

I got a couple mod botched mods, remember I started modding when I was a teenager.
