So I'm playing vanilla Doom, and enjoying it. But I'm thinking of going over to brutal doom for the Final Doom expansions, or maybe for some of Doom2. Is this a good idea, or will it change the balance too much for those things?

From my experience

>NES
Fine on both, 3DS might have a slight advantage because VC injects
>SNES
Pretty mediocre on PSP, awful on o3DS, works great on n3DS provided it's compatible (i.e. doesn't use any chips besides DSP1)
>N64
Not even worth mentioning on either, but 3DS does at least have OoT3D
>Genesis
The Sega 3D Classics are excellent, but limited. Genesis emulation works pretty well on PSP.
>GB/GBC
3DS has VC injects, but it forces an awful bilinear filter. Giving this one to PSP.
>PS1
Exists in a very rudimentary form on n3DS, but clearly the PSP is the way to go
>GBA
Works pretty decently on PSP, but works near flawlessly with VC injects on 3DS
PSP also has a really good CPS1/2 emulator which the 3DS doesn't

I think if it came down to the wire I'd choose the PSP. What works on the 3DS works better but the PSP has more versatility.
>The only main draw are their own PSP and 3DS games but those are out of question in this board.
Speaking of which, I'm surprised we didn't see more PSP to 3DS ports. They have such similar control layouts and power that you'd think it'd be a nobrainer.
