I like both Blood and Shadow Warrior but Blood's movement "physics" feel better. There's a strange feeling of "lagging" on Shadow Warrior whereas Blood's got a smoother game feel.

The weapon feedback, dynamite, and the multitude of death animations for different damage types made Blood really cathartic. You feel really "slick" in Blood whereas moving in Shadow Warrior feels a bit sluggish in comparison.

Both are still great games and I like Shadow Warrior's cheeky atmosphere / style and Lo Wang's lovely pervy attitude.

I'm into guro (though more stuff like hanging that isn't as bloody) and I find people that do this kind of song and dance pretty insufferable. Like haha look how edgy I am for liking it xD.

EH, I think Shelly was alright. Sure, different from the iconic Build Engine protags but not terrible. Also it helped Ion Fury a lot that they had a running villain and a little back and forth between Shelly and Janus.
Like don't get me wrong, it wasn't the best ever, but not terrible either, it gave the game a little premise and sort of a continuity while preserving the structure of the game not BURDENED by the plot.

I feel like it's worth playing honestly. It's still janky and in a weird way feels like Blood 1 had a baby with Half Life 1. The atmosphere isn't the same but it still feels like a decently fun if sometimes pretty punishing game with it's enemy placements.

I like the macabre gore / horror vibe that Blood has going on. A lot of breddy spooky areas.
