Also the Default game has a retarded and somewhat a hardcoded limit for pcx texture sizes and md2 meshes.
i've tried to convert Turic's High poly Shotgun into it but the game dies out saying that the gun has tons of vertices.
while focalor's models which uses Tabun's models from Generations Arena doesn't it.
also the guns look good using nearest filtering

all because the source ports never got rid of the dreaded limits due to puritanism towards patch 3.20

for years i kinda hated it, i loved it 1st when it was new when joequake and other cool stuff was out, and Dark places was still usable instead of a broken mess.
now i look it again, mainly with this port and they still look good, and this 8 bit dithering kinda make them shine.
