Just reminiscing is all, emulation was mindblowing when I was a kid in the early 2000s, even more so when I got to play games that never made it to the states at the time (Seiken Densetsu 3, Tales of Phantasia, FF5 etc. (I know, Anthology, but I didn't have that, plus the translation and load times))

great graphics, great music, good challenge, lots of replay value. one of my favs.

it's very different from SoM because each character is assigned a weapon instead of choosing one, which is a slight downer, but the tech system is much better realized. the biggest drawback of the game is that magic pauses combat, which can really draw things out, but at least the spells are sweet looking. classes are a lot of fun, which add lots replay value. the structure of the game is good for replays too. i've easily played this game over a dozen times. the game has several well known bugs, but they don't really interfere with enjoying the game.

Hawk is my favorite team leader. he hits hard with two attacks in one, and has lots of variety in his classes. i suggest playing through with him first.
