>People play Kirby for the charm
People play Sakurai Kirby games for the same reason they play Shimomura Kirby games. For a cute easy breezey game with tons of variety and options to mess with and some good music. This is the staple of pretty much every mainline Kirby game since Adventure arguably even DL1. Casual Kirby fans don't care about collecting Heart Stars or all the treasures in Great Cave or getting all the Crystal Shards let alone all the Enemy Cards. They just want to get the abilities they like, probably not even beat the game or even try to 100% it and maybe float over a whole level or two just to see if they can.
If charm mattered half as much as you retards liked to pretend it does then that means a black and white Gameboy game from '92 is the most charming game in the series and some of the best selling games in the series wouldn't be the modern ones you fags constantly call soulless. The very same modern ones that ape of Sakurai's formula and not Shimomura's.

Well it was the most selling game in the series since Dreamland so of course they'd try to chase that success to varying degrees. With Star Allies only recently toppling it for that title in large part thanks to how popular the switch is, you can be a pessimist and not really see any hope for the series changing they could just double down and continue doing what works. But I have more confidence in HAL than I do say Game Freak and they've been vocal about wanting to change the formula up. As someone whose first Kirby game was 64 and has a huge love for the series as well both classic and modern, I'm sure that the feel of classic Kirby won't ever return unless Sakurai magically talks himself into making another one. We'll never see Kirby GCN be given it's proper dues, SA is probably gonna be the last of the games trying to imitate it's magic to be made for a while and all we can do is hope that somehow a copy of it's prototype is leaked online at some point in the future. All that being said I'm interested to see where the series goes, I'd love for them to branch out again with more spin offs like back in the day. We still get them now but they all usually still share the general gameplay Kirby has, but Kirby as a character and series is so flexible I'm sure if they flexed their creativity we could get some really new a fun ideas out of him again. I'll remain hopeful that someday HAL will do something different with him again cause one of us "Kirby guys" has to be, maybe I'll get that Kirby railshooter or 3d DMC styled action game I always think about. Whatever happens I'm there for the ride.
