/vr/ - Retro Games

I prefer Alpha 2. 2 has Rose & Sodom, my favorite Alpha newcomers, and no -isms. I don't hate systems where you pick different modes (Grooves in CvS2 for example) but -isms just sucked. Not to suck A2's dick though, I'm generally not a fan of Custom Combo (especially CvS2 A-Groove) even if it's certainly not as bad in A2. I suppose if I ever want to play a more "traditional" Alpha 2 there's the SNES port with the slower pace and no CC I guess. Also something of a technical marvel, that port.

Funny enough, Alpha 3 minus Karin (& -isms) is what I'd prefer. I really don't like her at all; while in all fairness SFV turned all of her negative traits up to 11, I still think she's dull in Alpha 3.
