>This is probably the most "proper" cable work I've done. It's mainly been done as a proof of concept

Can I see a picture of the cable you're using now? (Is it just D-sub 15 to RGBHV?)

>Wouldn't happen to have a link or anything like that, hmm?

Taking a look at eBay myself, looks like all of them have been sold out (should've bought more I guess) searching for my model I found this place (in the image) that's my green wand. the reviews on the page seem to indicate some of the issues I had with mine (it did get pretty hot after an hour of use, but nothing I couldn't handle)

Like all things mass-produced in China you might get a bad one, so test it out first before using it on your set.

>I did purchase a remote for it, but the settings I have access to as of current a relatively few

Interesting, (is it the original remote for that series?) And you're right trying to find information on the megaview series is incredibly difficult, especially compared to Sony's documentation.

Some of those Chinese and Russian manual sites might be a place to find more information. That's usually how I've found some obscure service manuals before.

Have you spoken with anyone who owns a similar or the same model? Even after degaussing sometimes you have to adjust the beam landing to completely remove discoloration, or place some weaker magnets around the outside perimeter of the screen (but I would definitely recommend trying to find the beam landing setting first, it might even be a manual adjustment from inside the unit. Hard to tell with such little documentation.

>I'm looking for something poverty tier

I can definitely relate to that, most people with this hobby I would imagine have a NEET budget. Know I've seen schematics somewhere for building your own, might be able to get away with a few cents worth of parts from the local RadioShack (if those still exist). I'll keep digging
