The neatest demon related lore in Wolfenstein is from Wolfenstein RPG, BJ fights a demon named the Harbinger of Doom (get it?) and happens to maim it in just the same places the Cyberdemon you face in E2M8 has cybernetic limbs. Once defeated he promises BJ to return to get revenge on his descendants, i.e. Doomguy

Fun fact: In Wolfenstein RPG you fight a huge demon called The Harbinger of Doom. You cut off his limbs and he says he will be back for your descendents. The limbs that are cut off are the same as where the Cyberdemon has the cybernetic limbs and its implied this is indeed the Cyberdemon that appears in Doom.

Fuck yeah, I am playing through it and Doom II RPG right now on my android phone using a Java emulator. It actually works really well, on screen keypad of course but its not bad.

I am really digging both, I was aware of them back in the day but didn't have a phone that would play it or didn't want to spend the 2.99 or whatever it used to cost, it wasn't free I remember that. I love the little further glimpses into the Doom lore/universe it and Wolfenstein RPG give, even its not canon. It is official though and Carmack wrote the engine.

Is the Harbinger of Doom from Wolfenstein RPG and how he lost his arm and leg canon?
