Was your teacher at least qualified to teach the class? My highschool programming teacher was barely qualified to teach Microsoft Office let alone programming. Class was interesting albeit not educational.

Don't worry anon, with a bit of practice and effort you too can be building very nice scenery. The trick is just making a conscious effort to try and build something that looks good and avoid packing everything into a small area, and using your scenery options etc. The keys like Shift help you do precision scenery placements for stuff like building scenery ontop of existing scenery, or locking your placement cursor to the height you want it to be at.

I think it would look better if the walls were level, then you used the castle wallas scenery item to put a lip around it. No castle would look like yours, guards would have a way to walk along the top and have crenelations to hide behind to avoid enemy fire. That just makes it look like an obstacle course.
