I had my doubts so I went back to see how the start of Blood fares at the start on Lightly Broiled.
The first two levels are fine. Mob count with ammo distribution works well and you don't have to minmax the secrets to reach that; the first two maps are also comfortable to move and fight around in. Map 3 is where I was going to be worried but even playing a bit loose and sloppy like this allowed for a lot of room to move and fight about. The room that followed is also notoriously packed to fight in but not when you use the boxes.
Shadow Warrior is giving you the opportunity to find a huge portion of the arsenal in the first level with ninjas rarely taking less than two seconds to shoot you.
I think the only problem is how much the pitchfork sucks compared to other Build melee slots, but ammo wasn't an issue on LB. Blood may be considered the "Plutonia" of build games but I think you're being a bit too harsh on it.
