The one with Beat is the original one that I played through, but I've not played far into the one with Gum on the cover. That one is the US version which supposedly has an extra area or two and some new songs.

There are 2 clocks, one of which activates at a certain time in a test run. The game can be paused, the clock will continue, but the animation will activate if you did make it there in time, but only once and it won't happen again.

De La just pretty much is my method to play the US stages. I like both of the games for their style and music. Despite the dislike for Sega games around, I'm actually a fan.

I'm glad you like the Jet Set Radio series like I do too. It has that Sega flair for style and music but tragic that many dislike anything in relation to Sega, but their games to vibe with me and I accept that my taste in games varies much from the norm.

Most of my Dreamcast games come from Japan. I did get JSR when it came out as did a few of my friends.

I am not too familiar with the differences between the Euro and US version. I just know they added about 3 songs and a new stage/section of the map for the US version.

All the art looks good. Here's the discs. I really like the original, they made use of the 2-color process very well and made it look like a LP record. De La Jet Set Radio uses the 4-color process and still looks okay, but I prefer the original.

For Future it is the US art. I like the shiny red-orange foil.
