the problem with this is, that the idea of a GOOD level is very wide spectrum with alot of polar opposites. As a game dev I hate to shut this idea down because it could work, but it is WORK.
Levels don't exist for themself, the whole game has an influence on each level.
For example a level needs to be hard and easy, it needs good ideas and room to breathe. There is a lot to consider making a game...

I agree with this except for gameboy and nes. I remember when drawing nes or gameboy characters I drew them pixel by pixel and my stupid kidbrain was suprised that I could copy them 1 to 1 with my hand
