Yeah but gas flamers make for useless weapons, they use gas flamers on movie sets and shit because they're safe and don't start fires, because the fire burns up it's fuel (the gas) in a short notice, and the gas blooms out fast, this gives people a false impression that flamers don't have any reach, a real flamer would reach almost 100 yards minimum, with a thin jet of burning liquid (like Napalm) that sticks to whatever it hits, be that a person or object.

A gas flamer would probably hurt, due to heat, but it's hard to start fires or set someone on fire with plain gas itself. A flamer should ideally use liquid to project it's fire, for maximum effect. Oh, and it's much harder to put out a fire when the object or person is soaked in burning sticky fuel.
