I know some people have been in these threads for months, some people date back to the /vg/-era; but basically I'm saying that there's a group of people who have been here for awhile and plan on staying here. Scroton tossed up the idea of making a community chest map-pack containing all the /vr/ made wads. This could include the various board wads, as it doesn't seem like the 4chan wad is going to be completed anytime soon, as well as various other single maps. I think we could make something really cool out of this, as long as we have people to contribute along the way.

Since people have been here a hot minute, I thought that it'd be fairly easy to set a date near the end of the year, and have everyone make maps until then; and then compile all of them together. Even though it's ambiguous, setting the date later in the year would allow for a lot more map making/polishing. Again, we'd need more people churning out maps, no matter how fast, as long as some heart was put into the process.

>I'd like to help, but I don't know how to map.
You can find several links through out the OP for Doom Builder 2 and other map-making software. Hell, I started because another anon said: "make a map in one day," and I ended up taking a month, but it turned out pretty nice; for a first map. My point is that even if you don't know how to map, it's incredibly easy to start learning how.

Maps don't have to be amazing, ground-breaking experiences (see pic, that's my first map), but as long as 10 people make 1 quality map each, then that'd make a very unique, and interesting, map-pack.
Thoughts?

Here it is guys. I got side-tracked by school and "almost final" exams, but it's almost done now. All I have left is to do detail lighting, item placement, and do a couple dry runs.

I blocked out the final part of the map because it's got some twists in there that I don't want to be spoiled.
