That tends to not happen unless you attract too much attention to yourself or release something right before Nintendo releases their own version, like how A2MR was in open development for ten years until it got C&D'd right before Samus Returns was announced. /vr/ is about as irrelevant of a community as you can get, you'd probably be fine.
