Bring only real life reference photographs, or fashion model drawings. Fashion drawing is very different than typical figure drawing. It is like architecture except for people. Proportions are everything. Scale is everything. You should be able to find such fits from the Miami Vice cast, for example.
I live in a very expensive city and good tailoring on a blazer costs me the equivalent of a hundred to three hundred US dollars, depending on how complex the job is. Pants will be maybe eighty to one hundred and fifty.
Cost does vary very widely around the world. When I was in China I could get excellent alterations done for the price of half a night at a bar. But back home I accept the cost of artisanry.
That is the cost of designer clothes. But designer clothes today fit nobody, not even models. Their quality is worse than mall clothes from the seventies. Everything is made to crumble in our hands now.
