I still remember reaching TM2 final as kid, then Dark Tooth spawned, very scary

Dark Tooth was the greatest vehicular boss of all time. Immediately his sheer sense of scale for what the vehicle actually was combined terror with hilarity. The wheels were legitimately fearsome and he had a de facto Hammerhead special at all times, the screen filled with weapons, and he could provide unique hazards if you, say, fled into the tunnels through the sheer amount of ricochet bombs.

The best part was that not only did he have a giant rotating flaming head atop his truck to be the "true" embodied logo (with Sweet Tooth's as a red herring), but that was the actual vehicle. The absurdity one-upped itself as the actual symbol of the game was the ultimate final boss, and while far less armored could be a pain to hit.

Really, the only flaw is that the head was actually on an angle and stayed on it even in phase two. It looks sloppier than it should be and kind of awkward, and looking better in this case would outweigh any possible "it's meant to disorient for phase two" factor.
