Both the shape of the standard modern Anbernic d-pad is shit the circuit board's design leaves it to give false diagonals unless you open the unit up and place electrical tape across the switches. Swapping the d-pad out for an Etsy one is more popular than swapping the face buttons for whatever colour people want to match their handheld.
They finally made a great d-pad with the RG35XX Plus but being the assholes that they are, did not include it with the new RG35XX or the RG35XX-H.
