I've never been a huge fan of Xbox controllers in the past, but the latest one is seriously so good and I'm glad I bought one. Easily my favorite at this point in time. The dpad seriously is that good.

Before I owned that one I would say the DualShock 4. I still bring it out on occasion for modern, controller-centric first-person shooters because of the back button attachment that I bought for it. I always wanted a controller with extra paddles on the back and am happy to say that I appreciate them as much as I thought I would. Only real caveat with them is that they can only be remapped to buttons that already on the controller and not mapped as their own buttons whenever I'm playing with it on my PC, but I have yet to feel like that's seriously limited me in any way.
