Pic related. Or any other game with a similiar ending.

>tfw finishing an awesome game
>you'll never play it for the first time again

This was my childhood trilogy.
Spyro 1, had interesting home worlds and home worlds with enemies. It also had a distinctive feeling from the other two. I got to play it when it first came out but my brother was fucking adamant on having me play M-Rated games instead. And they don't hold up well today.

Spyro 2 was where things got ironed out and took us to a new land. I liked the parallels of the worlds you visited and it made the connections towards them more alive. A little short after Autumn Plains, but good. There's a little evidence that the game was unfinished, moreso when there isn't a Spring home world.

The last title in the trilogy mixed 1 and 2's elements while adding its own ingredients, making it my favorite out of them. I liked that Spyro had a team akin to Donkey Kong in DK 64 and they all had their own levels and missions. The music score here stands out the most to me and I find it to be my favorite soundtrack of the three(Made better with the Greatest Hits version, the one I grew up with personally). Even Sparx had some screentime.
And the epilogue stung a little reading it as an adult.

Some of you may have the DKC trilogy or the Crash Bandicoot trilogy in your list of personal favorites but I choose Spyro.

I asked for Enter the Dragonfly and got Year of the Dragon instead Christmas of 2002. I ended up biting that bullet three years later.

And I need to get replacement copy of the Greatest Hits version of YotD.
