Ayden and Ash? +1 bloodlust is pretty good, and so is Int specialization.
Pyre? Ballistais always good.
Ignatius? Tactics + Imps specialization.

Its just that they are not complete monsters like Gunnar, Kyrre, Dessa or Lord Mulich.

I would tell you to start with 3 rather than 4 and 5. All three play in a similar fashion and are great.

The fact that you put a game like BG2 in where you can't even visit specific locations without the game giving you a linear quest and ignore M&M where you can fuck off right from the start and play the game in any order shows that you are the true pleb.
