star wars 1983 sit down arcade. the way the game looks and feels is just very satisfying. theres a stand up cabinet as well that just isnt as cool.

was going to say Asteroids but it looks like it actually came out in Nov 1979. close enough. also the 1983 star wars i have always found ridiculously fun (cockpit version of course). there are a lot of classics i dont really care for but i think you really have to be into enjoying playing for high score to really appreciate, like donkey kong and pacman. i never cared for dk much but ive always liked pacman in small doses.

KOTOR is my favorite, but I know it's not retro. Yet.

For the guidelines of this board, it would have to be pic related. It was the first Star Wars game I ever played. I know there are better (TIE Fighter, DF2, Super Empire), but this one will always have a fond spot in my heart.
