Comparison to my PVM-20L5 (same 1CHIP SNES used in both pics, but the 20L5 pic was taken later in the game so I have a different shield and gloves).

Not going to say I don't like my PVM, but I prefer my shadow mask Panasonic BT-H1390YN. Also, those and the JVC BM-1400pn that is the exact same set with a different branding are much cheaper than PVM's.

I don't have a 14 inch PVM to compare it to, though. Sorry.

I don't have a SNES flash cart so I can't compare that to my own.

What motherboard revision is your SNES, then?

My 1CHIP, displaying link to the past on my PVM-20L5 (left), and panasonic BT-H1390YN (right). Both have RGB inputs.

>Is it impossible to get a good picture of shadow masks?
No, you're just not doing it right or don't have a good shadow mask.

Try a low ISO, as already suggested, and a tripod helps but isn't strictly necessary if you can hold the camera steady.

The shadow mask is a Panasonic BT-H1390YN broadcast monitor.
