>name 20 games that are still fun
>games are named
>no, those aren't fun anymore

Well, this was a worthwhile experience.

>the closest pinball according to that locator is 100 miles away

God damn. It sucks living in somewhat rural Bavaria.

The only time I ran into a SoF was at PAPA, and for some reason the replay value was set so low even my mom could get one every time, and that's no real fun, plus there were plenty other tables to be played, so I never really played that one. I do know it has boss fucking music, though.

That high score theme in particular is magic. Brian Schmidt was the man when it came to pinball music, with only Vince Pontarelli coming close. Pontarelli's stuff wasn't exactly the stuff of virtuosos, but he knew that what pinball needs is kick-ass guitars all over the place, especially when it comes to multiball.

There's nothing better than a driving guitar tune to go along with your multiball.

Played that one at PAPA as well. Personally, I think the design is pretty sound, although not exactly the strongest I've seen. The audio is top notch (once again, more Brian Schmidt magic), the modes are well-done (Cousin Kevin is one of my favorite modes in a pinball, period, alongside the World Cup Final in World Cup Soccer '94, CREATION Multiball in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein and Blood in X-Files) and the blinder gimmick is great fun. If I could get my hands on one, I'd be a happy camper.

Yes, downloading a ROM is technically illegal. However, dumping your own and using an emulator (with a BIOS you dumped yourself if necessary) is perfectly legal.

Refer back to >>1396536 :

Downloading a ROM = Piracy (illegal)
Dumping your ROM, downloading an emulator and emulating it = Emulation (legal)

Bringing up the Nintendo answer to the question about downloading ROMS was not related to the subject at hand.

This isn't rocket science, just think about it for a bit.

Oh Christ, here we go again...

My favorites as far as levels go in general are the sledding levels in DKC3, the haunted chase levels in DKC2 and the Lost World from DKC2.

Favorite tracks would be Crook's March, Forest Interlude, Crocodile Cacophony and Haunted Chase from DKC2 and Enchanted Riverbank, Cranky's Showdown and Baddies on Parade from DKC3.

Not that much a fan of DKC1 in particular. It's still good, just not as good.

>legality debates

The easiest way to sum it up is as follows:

Is it illegal? Yes.
Will anybody be prosecuted for this? No, and especially not the buyer.

While there is more money involved, it's still fucking peanuts compared to what a large legal operation by a large corporation like Nintendo would take. Not to mention the damages they would receive would probably not even cover the costs, and reproducers are not causing any sort of noticeable damage to companies like Nintendo.

Thanks to the Internet, copyright violations are rampant, and prosecution of those is nearly impossible, especially on the consumer end of things. The only question is what the reputation of the guy is (does he deliver, how is the quality, etc.), and you did your research on that.

You did good, OP. Have fun with your repros.
