I recently got an AR4 cart and got pseudosaturn working. So far pretty nice, but then I wanted to play Panzer Dragoon II Zwei, and the game freezes before I start the first level, it just freezes at the "Beginning" screen, and I can't even reset the console.

Is this a pseudosaturn issue?

So, I just bought a Sega Saturn, mostly for Nights, but I decided to see how easy it would be to burn games/play imports on the thing.

Everything I check online is all over the fucking map. Some say you can do a swap trick, others say I need a 4 in 1, others say I have to change the BIOS out, or install a modchip.

What's the scoop?

What are some good games for the Saturn? The stranger the game the better.

What are some good beginner fighting games for the Saturn? I have never been very good at them and would like to learn. My system is modchipped so price is no worry.

I've just started getting into RE. I got CV back in 2000/2001 but gave up after a few hours because I thought I had wasted too much ammo (last thing I remember was fighting 2 stretchy-armed guys and being in a lab where some creatures escape from a large glass tube). My friend rented REmake once and I played it for about 5 minutes.

I burned a copy of the Saturn version, and every once in a while I would pop it in and play for 15 minutes, but today I finally decided to sit down and start playing it for real. I've been able to explore a good bit of the mansion (or the upper levels anyway), but it keeps crashing when I try to go through a door.

It's probably random, but I've gotten superstitious that it's happening because I open the door right after a camera change, so I stand in front of a door for like 2 seconds before opening it. But sometimes I'll forget, the screen will fade to black, but the door animation never loads.

I guess I'll try cleaning the laser on my Saturn, and maybe burning a fresh copy if that doesn't work (current one is anywhere from 6-10 years old).

After messing around with the SSF emulator for a while, I finally got it working. What are some games I should check out? RPGs are my favorite genre, though I'm open to other suggestions. Japanese games are fine, too; the language barrier isn't an issue.
