I just watched videos of what was at the time "modern games" and borrowed someone's massive steam account. Lended PS4 once too. Everything just seemed horrible (to me) and/or I couldn't recognize it as a "game" because it was genuinely just too different for me to adapt to (I'm not even that old).

I don't know why, but I simply can't learn to adapt to new games. Maybe because I grew up with it, maybe I prefer the simplicity and my mind doesn't overload from over detailed graphics, maybe modern game looks are too unfamiliar. Maybe games after the ps2 died just became unplayable garbage. Don't know.

I do know graphics/"the feel" is a big thing that is off putting to me, game play comes second.
