I gambled maras. My biggest-ever mf score by a long shot.

But I prefer to gamble for rings and circlets. With a few millions you can get a pair of 10fcr rings with ~30 resists between them. Amulets with 10fcr appear occasionally which are better than maras if you need the breakpoint, but it is better to craft caster amulets.

The barb could flatten the nightmare council in a 1 minute run which gives about 400k gold, but on NM of course you lose out on horking uniques and runes.

Yeah unfortunately the phys resistance doesn't pan out great there because like >>5714318 said there's a fellow who will pretty much always Amp you. I think on Hell everyone's physical resist gets completely tanked by Amp because there is already an invisible -50.
