I'm new to it all, what images are people using?

So apparently there's a modified version of the Pi firmware that allows for 240p over composite. Anyone tried it out? Does this put the Pi on the same level as the Wii in terms of emulation boxes?

Sorry if this has been asked 100,000 times but is there a decent spot to pick up all the US released roms for NES, SNES, and Genesis complete? About to set up a Raspberry Pi for emulation. I've seen a few that are mixed with PAL and other variants. I found one complete set from PB but since it was taken down, I'm not too excited to jump in and use them (in b4 "use a VPN"). Any help would be appreciated and thanks.

Is it possible to buy something such as a Raspberry Pi and turn it into an old school video game console that can run all games up to the fifth generation (N64, PS1, etc) of consoles?

Do they even come with HDMI ports to connect them to your TV?
