Hey /vr/

I'm looking for a way to play my old consoles (Mega Drive, SNES, NES, N64, Dreamcast) on my Monitor. Only problem is my Monitor only has a VGA input.

So basically I'm looking for a way to convert the AV/Scart outputs of my consoles into an VGA output.
Is there an easy and/or cheap way to do this? I found some converter boxes, but they don't seem to work that well with old consoles. What about a new monitor with a Scart input? Would that work?

Or would pic related be enough?
