/vr/ - Retro Games

I'm trying to set up PCSX2 1.6.0 to play AC2 using my PS4's controller on windows 10, running into the usual problems with analog sticks reading fucky or not at all. I've had this problem with various PC games and did a lot of reading on it over the years but still can't seem to get much consistency.

I have DS4 windows installed, I've tried the built in driver and the fireshock driver on github, and while either of them or with nothing installed would read inputs, when doing the quick setup for controllers in PCSX2, it always flashes through the buttons quickly like its receiving extra inputs. I've tried assigning them all button by button, and in game there is no response from the joysticks at all.

Back when I played Sekiro I had a similar issue where the each time starting the game the camera would be permanently rotating due to the joysticks not detecting correctly, and I'd have to each time, remove the controller in hardware and devices, plug it back in, go into DS4windows and check 'hide DS4 controller' then close it and reopen it before starting the game each time. Would really like to get a permanent solution since I really like the DS4 controllers given how comfy they are.

Oh and I've tried launching PCSX2 via steam big picture as well and still no luck.
