Without Riptor or Cinder, it really felt like KI2/Gold was lacking something in the roster. I appreciated the new girls, though. And Tusk was cool.

You guys keep repeating this arguments, but I already gave examples on the OP: "Japan doesn't like western games", but they got Mortal Kombat and even Rise of the Robots.
"KI is a bad game", not true, but even if it was, it's still better than MK and fucking Rise of the Robots. It's the only western fighting game that got it RIGHT and actually plays like a fighting game. If there was ONE western fighting game that would make sense Japan got, it was Killer Instinct. The connection with Nintendo also would mean having no problem publishing it in Japan (didn't need some 3rd party to publish it there).
Say what you want, that KI is a bad or mediocre game, I highly disagree, but that's not really the point of the thread.

Well, it's on Rare Replay on the Xbone.
On the other hand, KI1 SNES is still left to SNES only, it never got a rerelease and Rare could have included it on RR but they were too lazy to code in a SNES emulator just for 1 game. They included Gold despite KI2Arcade was included, but that's because there were other N64 games on the collection (Conker, BK, JFG, etc) so it's not like they had to work another emulator just for it.
And that sucks because as >>4663859 said, SNES KI is like an updated version of KI1 in terms of balance, plus it includes the usual console port treats like training mode and tournament. It shouldn't be overlooked just because of its graphics.
