One-third of the game is the lamest 3D platforming you'll ever see where you collect bullshit and it just feels like trash
One-third of the game has you hold down a button and swivel your joystick a little and then let go of the button. A combo pop-up tells you how much fun you're having every time you do this.
One-third of the game is the reason you're playing it and it's loaded with tons of automatic bits like grinding on rails or sitting through loop-de-loops, or using the jump attack which is somewhat automated, and it's all very robotic.

SA1 wasn't much better.

Give me Utopia already goddammit the 2D Sonic games are too good to not have a worthy 3D adaptation.
