I also have never played the original so no nostalgia glasses. I have only read about Monke Island in game magazine.

I've bought Monke Island special edition from steam and it was 10/10 adventure. You can switch between remaster version of the game and the original any time during the gameplay - so you can compare original with the remake any time.

In fact I only payed for retro tomb raiders from Steam because I like those games.

Creators of all the NES, SNES games I like are dead and they probably don't mind me pirating
