The toughest thing was remembering to slide the heatshrink on BEFORE connecting everything. That's totally optional though so don't sweat it if you don't have / can't get any.

Pretty sure you've got the TRS to slot configurations right. I just used a multimeter to trace continuity between the different sections of the connector to the bare wires but again this is just because I had the tool to hand.

A jumper is simply a short piece of wire. I used wire from a freezer bag wrap with the plastic burned off, believe it or not.
