The first one is definitely a chore. But it’s enjoyable.

Jesus fuck this game is boring. Can I skip it and just start with 2?

Breath of Fire is kino as fuck, and a lot of casuals are discovering and enjoying it now on Switch online

BoF 1 is better than 2 in: Dragon forms, Repel itens, Sprites and music

And that CLASSIC jRPG feel, that most games deviate from, BoF 1 dwelves on it and delivers

BoF 2 has better animations, better plot (but not pacing, since encounter rate sucks), better waifus, and better "mini-games", like fishing and town building

But BoF1 is the better experience.

(BoF2 delivers some of the best sucker punchs of 16bit jRPGs. I've felt them mor than most FF6 ones)

I'm a avid BoF1 defender here

Baby's first RPG? Yes, it is. But it has Capcom's polish and aged better than DQ1 or FF1

Repel item actually works, Dragon transformations are OP as they are meant to be, actually good sountrack and pacing

Crazy as fuck plot with furries that keeps you engaged

And more, I'm seeing people all around experimenting with the first game now in Switch and saying it was pleasing (much more than comments about 2)

It's not very good or fun. Wondering if I should even finish. I remember enjoying part 2 as a kid. But this one is boring.

It is a comfy and underrated series.
I particularly like the music and monster designs.
