Hold up, minor realization here. Would it be appropriate to consider Sgt. Mark as the "Shadman" of the Doom community?

Anyone here who knows about Double Dragon's lore? WHY was she was just standing there while a group of thugs walked up to her? WHY was she kidnapped? How did Billy and Jimmy know about this kidnapping happening if they were just leaving the building? If they got out of the garage just seconds after she was kidnapped, why couldn't they just run after Williams and take her back?

This game's lore, man. It's deep.

I just realized something. "That Kid" usually told you about doing an arbitrary string of events in order to trigger something else in game, right? It's also true that many Japanese games also required you to do arbitrary things in order to gain access to secrets, or sometimes the item needed to win the game. Does that mean that 'That Kid' stories are actually from Japan?

What if these faux-retro games had PC versions, whose minimum requirements allowed them to be played on /vr/ gaming PCs? Such as

>Windows 98
>Pentium III
>Voodoo2/DX6 compliant GPU
>128MB of RAM

I mean sure, modern developers are lazy, but would that make them count?
