You are correct, but OP is trying to make a blanket statement by not specifying that.
Composite is only what the "developers intended" in a select few cases.
Most developers didn't care because they would have understood that the console they were developing for had multi-out of some sort, and knew that the player could be using any of the officially supported options.
Whatever handful developers didn't fall into either of those categories designed their games with RGB reference monitors, making RGB the closest thing to the developers' vision in those cases.

All this to say, RGB or equivalent (i.e. RGB transcoded to YPbPr, as in the two SF3S screens I posted above) is better looking in 99% of cases, and the statement "composite is the only correct way to enjoy retro games" is a whole lot closer to being objectively wrong than it is to being objectively right.

I'm guessing you've never done any project on a computer that requires hunderds of different files, video, audio, font etc. With all the migrating and mastering it's easy to lose track of one or two files. Given that they finished the game and released it, who would be in charge of making sure the thousands if not millions of individual fils were copied and migated to modern hardware, not to mention somehow made to work on modern systems since most of FFVIII was designed and rendered on old Silicon Graphics computers with proprietary software. It's not like they can just take the poject file and open it in Blender

I need some help. So I'm in the UK and I'm wondering what TV's can do NTSC over Composite and S-Video at 60Hz. I get that RGB can bypass these issues, but my plan is to get a Rasp Pi 3B+ and use NTSC 240p 60Hz output via Composite for up to 5th Gen, and then use a HDMI to Composite 480i converter (from which the PC will output 640x480p 60Hz). I'm on a budget and I feel like this would make for a comfy and easy setup.
How common are TV's that can do NTSC 60Hz Composite in PAL regions, any specific models?

No. It doesn't hold up.

But its story does.
Play it for the story alone, and how its told through its production and assets, then see what you think of it afterwards.

Ignore what people say though.
Its a decent enough game. You might recognise tropes that roll your eyes but be aware of when this game got released and what the world was like at the time.

Sound effects library is something you'd never scrape between projects even if you had a policy of delete assets after ever project, why make new ones when you already have the sound effects you need?

Plus audio samples are a lot different to CGI assets for SGI workstations that use proprietary software exclusive to them.

Does anyone know why the onscreen menu on a pvm would yellow? I'm talking about the white letters that come up on the screen when you change the volume or any other setting. The on screen menu just seems darker in general, but the picture on the tube is otherwise the same. Also, the volume seems to be dying, if that's of any help. (Maybe the two are linked?)
