You actually bring up extremely good points anon.
As I played MML I grew to love it for what it was.
PS1 user usually did not own a N64 and do not have that reference.. MML has great graphics and comfy music. Most importantly, it has the best 3D controls on the PS1.
OG Armored Core would have benefited immensely from a similar control scheme.
Mega Man Legends might be the best game of that generation. The final boss was difficult, yet fair and forced you to use the game mechanics.

For me its the Mega Man Juno fight. The shitty dub was almost creepy and his attacks demeanor, and tone completely juxtaposed with the rest of the game. I was thoroughly blazed everything felt so surreal
