Guy who's been doing HoMM5 campaign recently here. Turns out I hadn't solved all the problems of running the game on linux and the whole time I've been playing it's been with almost all of the particle effects absent. Worked out how to get them going and it makes the game run like complete shit. So looks like I'm going back to 3 until, hopefully, linux/driver updates make 5 properly playable.

I guess now's my chance to finally get through 3's campaigns.
