You're not entirely wrong there. ALttP and OoT established an initial lore, and it was mostly created by Koizumi (the guy in charge of Mario now). But then, the Capcom games roll out and the guy directing those games didn't gave a fuck about continuity. Both Oracles games got OoT and MM stuff all over the place, and Minish Cap was another prequel. Guess who is the guy directing the new Zelda games now.
