wouldnt even need that much, just a couple screencaps and some autists
i know damn well that such markets are not monitored very tightly, as i knew several people irl during the silkroad years that were doing a similar trick buying and selling non-existent games to their own sock accounts in order to launder quick amounts of cash when needed.

muh retro is in a speculative bubble
i know we are dealing with something with a finite supply, and as time passes, that supply gradually trickles down. but that gradual drop in supply is totally incongruent with the prices that we are seeing across many systems and specific games. the only reason something like this happens is because of unchecked speculation. the perceived value continues to go up simply because it has in the past, and theres no practical way to shortsell it to keep it in check.
what the retro market is in sore need of is some good ol fashioned FUD

we all know the biggest problem here is that tons of scalpers and resellers are hoarding massive amounts of these games sometimes even whole cases as their retirement plans, artificially limiting an already limited supply. and, since prices have only gone exponentially up, they refuse to sell for less than they put in, confident that time will prove them right.

what they need is a little FEAR. UNCERTAINTY. DOUBT.
