Oh those are total fixer upers, i love running across game in that type of condition and cleaning them up. Use pic related on them never fails, and most of the gunk on the exterior of them can be cleaned with a wet rag

You do still have to rub each side of pins for a good 30 min but goddamn ma nigga dem pins be lookin fine after, removes the white film present on all pins these days but keeps the copper plating unlike dat brasso bullshit. Afterwards finish dem bitches off with dexoit gold shields em lubes em the fuck up prevents corrosion and fretting corrosion increases conductivity and dem bitches practically slip and slide out yo cartridge slot.

Depends how you frame the question if your talking about the consoles cartridge based ones will definitely last longer then cd based consoles. Theres no lasers that will burn out or moving parts. If your just talking about the media cds are easier to scratch but are far easier to fix just have it resurfaced by a machine for a few bucks, and disk rot for the most part is a meme. Cartridges however their gold contacts are vulnerable to oxidation basically every cartridge you run across will have that white film on it, and because most people are retards who use brasso instead of things like pic related that are designed specifically for this stuff theres going to be alot of broken games in the next 25 years, unless of course you resurface them like this https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ecoxUwzyc0Q

After cleaning your cartridges you do use dexoit gold or some other or some spray to protect against future oxidation/corrosion?
