tomb raider probably had it worse because the reboot iteration got two sequels, meaning it was dragged for longer and forced as the "definitive" tomb raider
besides the character (both design and personality) of lara croft, the game deviates way too much from the real dna of the series to became a game so gerenic, its only legacy is shitty sfm porn and people realizing they were wrong about the series, that the original character was still more than just polygon tits fapbait
as far as i see it, the new lara croft has done more damage to the character than the zero suit as done to samus
to keep this on topic, pic related would make a good quake enemy
i wonder if doom eternal would have a centaur like enemy if they will take inspiration from heretic/hexen which are also dead franchises
