I feel that too. I remember there were all sorts of fun Winamp skins. Users can create their own layouts for programs, and there's less blandening of all sorts of aesthetics. I guess the tradeoff is that we're more productive now in general instead of taking time to make some art for personalization.

Most of the ones I have are too low res for modern screens. They are in resolutions of 640x480, 800x600, and 1024x768 which are roughly for old 4:3 screens. Stable Diffusion might just be the solution to fix this, but isn't it a limited time use? Since I don't have the funds to pay for the service, it may be best you find a way to A.I. upscale the images you already have.
