So a friend of mine owns Snatcher for the Sega / Mega CD CIB and I can see its value has been steadily climbing. Juding by the eBay listings up right now, he has the most sought after release too. Some sellers are asking for well over 1000 dollars! Now my friend doesn't really care about video games at all anymore but I would like him to be able to capitalize on this situation if possible since he has always been a good friend to me and is an overall great and generous guy. He probably doesn'T really need the money since he has a well paying job but who's going to sneer at 1000 dollars, right? My question: Is that kind of asking price actually realistic? Is there even a chance of any takers with a price as inflated as this? I don't want to waste his time either with bad advice. I told him about the item's value once before a couple of years ago but back then it was valued at maybe 400 dollars or so I believe.

bunch of Working Designs games, even if people shit on them for a lot of their choices, they were also responsible of bringing many games that would have otherwise remained Japan-only

also Snatcher, specially considering how superb the whole package is, commonly considered the superior version

Is this game actually worth buying?

Snatcher, another obvious one. There is some discussion on what version is the best but usually the consensus falls on the Sega CD version.
