>got a copy of FFL2 the other day
>had working saves, tested it myself
>take cart apart, clean contacts, remove any little dirt particles inside, etc.
>start game up again
>saves are gone
>whatever, new file was just in starting town at the beginning anyway
>start a new game, only intending to check that saving still works so just rolling filler characters
>get to menu, go to save game
>saving doesn't work, file isn't saved, and character party doesn't even show up on the save window
>then I notice my party
>every single member is now a maxed out Wyrm with the name 'hahahaw'
>even the guest slot is filled with this
>every party member is paralyzed
>they're all equipped with 99 durability muramasas and 99 use damage spells
>extra item bag is nothing but more muramasas and damage spells
>claims max GP and 99 magi despite plot saying there are only 77 (I've not played this game before so you know)
>go out of town, Mr. S joins me
>he replaces the guest slot
>check save window again, saving did in fact work before, slots just didn't show up
>saved over a few slots but whatever, it was someone else's files in the end
>attempt to enter north cave
>it sends me to the north town past the cave
>exit the town, end up exiting at the town in the map
>attempt to enter other side of cave closest to town
>entry point flat out does nothing
>cannot re-enter town, does the same thing as the cave (nothing)

So seriously, what the fuck just happened to my game? Is this some kind of weird anti-piracy thing, or did I just find some godmode hack on accident, or what? I'm totally confused by this.
