Xenoblade was what really got me into JRPGs. I loved how over-the-top the game was, the story was stupid enough to keep me interested, and the combat was actually pretty engaging.

>JRPG or CRPG
Haven't played enough CRPGs to really say which is better. Wizardry V is on my list, though.
