That last podcast where Pat claims that Sonic The Hedgehog going into the VG Hall of Fame is the weakest candidate annoyed the shit out of me.

Yeah we all know modern Sonic is trash, but when we are talking about Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic and Knux or Sonic CD they were good games at the very least that stood on their own against a giant like Nintendo. They solidified SEGA as a household name and gave Super Mario and Nintendo a run for their money, even to a point of succeeding Nintendo in market share!

To simply write him off because you're a Nintendo fanboy and eat any of the shit they put out, past or present, is just flat out shitty opinion.
